India will visit Bangladesh for a three-match One-Day International series and a subsequent two-match Test series. The three one-day internationals will take place on December 4, 7, and 10.

The Test series then follows, with the first Test taking place in Chattogram between December 14 and December 18. Between December 22 and 26 both sides travel back to Mirpur for the last and final test.

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson made his radhe exchange Twenty20 International debut all the way back in 2015 against Zimbabwe, however he has only played in a total of 16 Twenty20 Internationals. His score of 77 against Ireland in 2022 was his career high. In Twenty20 Internationals, he has scored 296 runs at an average of 21.14. After playing 10 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) since the Sri Lanka trip in 2021, Sanju Samson has a batting average of 73.5. He has scored 294 runs, with his highest score being an unbeaten 86 against South Africa.

KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Ishan Kishan were preferred to Sanju Samson as wicketkeeping options for the one-day international series against Bangladesh, hence Sanju Samson was left off of the squad. Despite this, he has been selected for the One-Day International and Twenty-20 International squads that will travel New Zealand.

In the one-day international series that Shubman Gill played in against West Indies and Zimbabwe, he scored 205 and 245 runs, respectively, at an average of 102.5 and 122.5. For these two series, he was named Man of the Series. After two extremely fruitful one-day international trips, he now has a phenomenal batting average of 57.9 and has scored 579 runs in a total of 12 ODIs.

His most recent scores in one-day internationals read 64, 43, and 98* (against West Indies), 82*, 33, and 130 (against Zimbabwe), and 3, 28, and 49 (against Bangladesh) (against South Africa). However, he was not selected for the one-day international (cricket id online ODI) series played against Bangladesh, but he was selected for the one-day international and the Twenty20 international played against New Zealand. This is mainly attributable to the fact that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have returned, in addition to Rajat Patidar and Rahul Tripathi being included.

Prithvi Shaw

The last time Prithvi Shaw played for India was in July on the Sri Lanka 2021 tour. On his Twenty20 International debut, he was run out for a duck off the first ball (the only T20I he played). In his six One-Day Internationals, he scored 189 runs, while in his five Tests, he scored 339 runs and had one century to his name. Prithvi Shaw has played 49 games in the List A competition and has a career average of 53.76 with a strike rate of 123.95. He finished in third place in the Duleep Trophy competition with 315 runs, including 250 consecutive runs scored.

The opening batter had the greatest strike rate among players who scored more than 21 runs, which was 92.92 percent. This was the highest in the competition. Prithvi Shaw, who was playing for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy competition, demonstrated his great form by hitting a hundred while playing against North-East Zone.

He was the second top run-getter in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022-23, scoring 332 runs while averaging 36.88 over the course of 10 games and having a strike rate of 181.42. Prithvi Shaw, who had been ignored for the Indian team on multiple occasions, made a statement with a scorching 134 off of 61 balls at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by helping Mumbai to a victory over Assam by 61 runs.
