Polygel nails are different from other common types of artificial nails because they are made with a combination of gel and powder. It’s possible to remove them at home, but it can be difficult to get rid of all the excess material because polygel nails are so thick.

Warm Water
Soak your fingers in warm water for ten minutes or more before attempting to remove polygel nails. The warm water will help loosen up the adhesive that you’ll be using for removal, allowing you to scrape off more excess material after removal is complete.
Scrape off any remaining seal on your fingernails with an orange stick – wear gloves while doing this so you don’t leave fingerprints behind! Also wipe down your fingertips with rubbing alcohol so you don’t transfer dirt to your fingernails when you go to reapply artificial nails.
Adhesive remover
Apply a liberal amount of adhesive remover onto the polygel nail and rub gently with a lint-free cotton pad. Continue rubbing until all of the material has been removed from underneath your nail. Repeat for each fingernail, and then apply some special base coat that’s included with your replacement nails.
If you want to remove available residue rather than completely getting rid of the NGR sealant, use a product called Polygel Remover, which is simply acetone in a bottle mixed with soapy water. This will help soften remaining sealant on your fingers so you can wipe it off without scraping or buffing your nails.
Make sure to buff and file your nails before reapplying new polygel nails, as the remover can dry out and damage your fingers if it sits on them for too long.
Note: If you like wearing polygel nails and want to continue using them, make sure to replace them after they fall off due to natural nail growth. Before reapplying new polymer sealant material, please remember to use base coat with it! Please don’t forget that!!!
Pressing down with your
Remove one fingernail at a time by pressing down with your thumb around where the artificial nail meets your cuticle and gently prying upwards until you hear a popping sound. Be gentle! You don’t want NGR nails flying everywhere.

Does polygel come off with rubbing alcohol?
